Exploring Emotion Regulation Strategy Deficiencies in High Ruminators: A fNIRS Study Focused on the dlPFC and Precuneus

Are you interested in contributing to research on emotion regulation and brain activity? We are seeking participants for a study exploring potential differences in the use of emotion regulation strategies between healthy individuals and those experiencing high levels of rumination.

About the Study:

This project focuses on identifying any deficiencies in emotion regulation strategies among individuals with high rumination symptoms compared with healthy control. Using fNIRS, we will examine brain activity in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) and the precuneus.

Who Can Participate:

  • Healthy controls with no history of neurological or mental disorders
  • Patients (currently or previously diagnosed with anxiety disorder and/or depression)

What to Expect:

  • Non-invasive brain imaging using fNIRS technology
  • Completion of questionnaires and computer task
