Qinyuan Chen
I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology (2017) and master’s in cognitive neuroscience (2020) from South China Normal University, and completed my PhD at Ghent University (2025), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Chris Baeken, and Prof. Dr. Rudi De Raedt. As a postdoctoral researcher in the GHEP Lab, my research focuses on the neural mechanisms of non-invasive brain stimulation in depression. I investigate how TMS modulates neural responses and connectivity in patients with depression, and how individual differences in brain anatomy and structural connectivity shape its therapeutic effects. To address these questions, I combine multimodal neuroimaging, including fMRI and diffusion MRI, with computational modelling. My work aims to advance mechanistic understanding of neuromodulation and contribute to more optimized and personalized treatment approaches for depression.
